Israeli PM predicts massive strategic crisis in Syria

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned attendants of the AIPAC assembly in Washington that the civil war in Syria would cause the “strategic crisis of monumental proportions”, RIA Novosti reports.

The official reminded that the conflict had caused a humanitarian tragedy. The country has chemical weapons and air defenses. The weapons may be obtained by terrorists after the fall of the president’s regime, Netanyahu reminds.

Hezbollah and Al Qaeda were attempting to take over the weapons, he told. Netanyahu promised to discuss the problem during the visit of US President Barack Obama to Israel.
