Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has urged his Greek counterpart Antonis Samaras at a session of the Turkish-Greek Council for Strategic Cooperation to show political will in resolving the Cyprus dispute.

The Turkish leader emphasized the positive and constructive atmosphere of bilateral relations.

Erdogan reminded that Greek and Turkish minorities on the island will be the formula for success in rapprochement of the sides, a “bridge of friendship” as he called it. Their prosperity would improve bilateral ties, he added.
