Kuban finishes grain and grain legumes harvest

Krasnodar Territory is finishing harvesting grain and grain legumes, Yuga.ru reports. According to the regional department of agriculture and processing industry, 91% of the fields had been covered by July 20th. 7341.3 thousand tons of grain were threshed, which is almost 363 tons more than in the same period last year.

The Timashevskiy region was the first to finish harvesting, taking in 56.5 dt/ha. Then came Vasiolkovskiy with 60.1 dt/ha (99%), followed by the Briukhovetskiy, Ust-Labinskiy and Krasnoarmeyskiy regions, with 98% of their territory harvested.
Winter grain was harvested from 1175 thousand hectares (90% of the area), with a gross harvest of 6 million tons, the yield is 51.9 dt/ha, which is 4.4 dt/ha higher than last year.

The highest yield of winter grain is in the Kanevskiy (56.8 dt/ha) and Shebinovskiy (55 dt/ha) regions, then the Vaselkovskiy (62.8 dt/ha), Novokubanskiy (59 dt/ha), Labinskiy (54 dt/ha) and Uspenskiy (53.2 dt/ha) and Krasnoarmeyskiy (50.8 dt/ha) regions.

Also Kuban is finishing harvesting spring grain, with 11.5 thousand tons of spring grain threshed, 146.5 thousand tons of barley and 11.3 thousand tons of oats.

Post-harvest work is being carried out, 150 thousand hectares of partially fallow land has been ploughed and 1186 thousand hectares of stubble cleared.
