India to stop importing Iranian oil

After coming under increasing pressure, India may soon join international sanctions against Iran and stop importing oil from the Islamic Republic.

The move will be a major cause of distress for the Iranian economy, as India is the largest consumer of Iranian oil. The average monthly turnover amounts to $1 billion.
