Armenia ratifies UN convention

Armenia has joined eighty other states in ratifying a UN convention on the protection of the rights of people with disabilities, the TV channel Mir reports.
According to Social Minister Dzhemma Bagdrasyan the document doesn't provide new rights for disabled people. Currently, the main obstacle to comfortable lives for disabled people is a lack of facilities for movement. Yerevan believes the convention will help to change this situation.
