Georgian ex-Minister for State Security Valery Khaburdzania has returned to Georgia to head pro-Russian activists, Trend reports.
He noted that there were pro-Western, pro-American and pro-Russian groups in Georgia. According to him, pro-Russian interests are the ones where points of view of Moscow and Tbilisi coincide.
Khaburdzania had helped resolve the problem of the Pankisi Gorge, a passage Chechen militants used to enter Russia from Georgia. The minister had been dismissed by President Mikheil Saakashvili for being a fellow student of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
