Kazakhstan to form special police unit for protesters

The Kazakh Prosecutor General’s Office proposed formation of a special police unit to maintain order during mass protests, Interfax reports.

The document states that other countries have such units. Prosecutors reminded about the protests in Janaozen and Shetpa of December 2011. They resulted in 15 people dead and 100 injured.
