Karachay-Cherkessia develops greenhouses

Karachay-Cherkessia plans to expand growth of vegetables and flowers at the Yuzhny agricultural complex, ITAR-TASS cites Vice Premier of the republic Eldar Baychorov.

Subsidies will cover 20% of payments for gas and electricity. The facility uses advanced technologies to grow vegetables and roses.

Yuzhny was founded in 1989 in the Kuban Valley in Karachay-Cherkessia. It has an area of 144 hectares. It grows 40,000 tons of vegetables and 12 million roses every year.
