Armenian presidential polls provoke emigration

96,192 people arrived at the Zvartnots Airport of Yerevan and Shirak Airport in Gyumri in the January-February 2013. 115,221 people departed, which means emigration of 19,029 people, 1in.am reports.

Emigration increased by 2,455 in January-February 2013, compared with the same period in 2012. The population dropped by 16,574.

Experts had forecasted the emigration rate before the elections, as an impact of the presidential polls.
