Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu commented today on the recent
appeal by the U.S. Congress with a request to Prime Minister Recep
Tayyip Erdogan to abandon comparing Zionism with Nazism. The prime minister
explained that Turkey will undoubtedly oppose anti-semitism, but also
takes a tough stance on Israel's aggressive policy towards its
neighbors.
"On these issues, our position is open, we are against anti-semitism.
But we have always been and will continue to oppose the expansionist
policy of Israel and its aggressive stance in the region. Let no one
doubt it," RIA Novosti quotes him.
Davutoglu added that any nation that is faced with a violation of human
rights will be welcomed in Turkey.
