CIS executive secretary wants better terrorism prevention

Sergey Lebedev, Executive Secretary of the CIS, has attended the conference on terrorism prevention in Baku and emphasized the growing extremism rate.

He noted that terrorism, drug trafficking, religious extremism were on the rise. The CIS needs a special legal basis and stricter laws to fight terrorism, Lebedev explains.

The executive director expressed hope that the conference will boost development of joint measure to improve counter-terrorism efforts.
