EU approves Ocalan’s initiative

EU Chief Diplomat Catherine Ashton and Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy Stefan Fule welcomed the initiative of Abdullah Ocalan, leader of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, to stop violence in Turkey, RIA Novosti reports.

Turkish Prime Minister Recep tayyip Erdogan promised yesterday to stop pursuing Kurdish militants if they stop attacking Turkish law enforcers.
