42 people killed at mosque explosion in Damascus

42 people died and over 80 were injured in a blast at the Al-Iman Mosque of Damascus, RIA Novosti reports.

The terrorist attack killed Sunni theologian Mohammed Sayid Ramadan al-Buti, notorious for supporting Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and preaching on TV every Friday. He was opposed to terrorism and violence.
