Police investigate attempt on Raffi Hovannisian's life

The headquarters of the ex-presidential candidate Raffi Hovannisian,
who has been on hunger strike for more than two weeks, has reported that
there has been a failed attempt on his life.

The supporters of the opposition leader urged the police to
immediately reveal the identity of the likely killer, as well as
inform the public about all the details of the criminal case to be
opened against him.

In turn, the Armenian police said that they were investigating the
circumstances surrounding the incident on Freedom Square and the
statement about the attempt on the life of Hovhannisyan, RIA Novosti
reports.
