Ex-authorities of IDGC of North Caucasus suspected of corruption

New authorities of the Interregional Distribution Grid Company (IDGC) of the North Caucasus have checked the financial documents of their predecessors and say that about 25 million rubles had been wasted, Gazeta.ru reports.

The old authorities were dismissed in November 2011. A criminal case has been initiated for fraud. They may get up to 10 years of prison. A criminal case had been initiated earlier for illegal property acquirement.

The company supplies Dagestan, Ingushetia, North Ossetia, Stavropol Territory, Kabardino-Balkaria, Karachay-Cherkessia with electricity at a voltage of 110-0.4KW.

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin accused the company’s top managers of illegal financial schemes in mid-December 2011.
