North Caucasus conscripts to join Russian Armed Forces

Thousands of conscripts from North Caucasus will join the Russian Armed Forces, RIA Novosti cites Colonel-General Vasily Smirnov, Deputy Chief of General Staff.

The official noted that the number of conscripts from the region will increase this year.

The request to increase the number of conscripts to 3,000-5,000 was sent by 11 MPs from Dagestan to Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu.
