Iranian border guards chase drug smugglers back to Afghanistan

This past morning Iranian military border guards prevented drug smugglers from illegally crossing the border with Afghanistan. Iranian police opened fire and after a brief exchange of fire, the smugglers fled to Afghanistan.

As a result, the border guards confiscated 2 tons of drugs, Mehr reports.
