Ingush Leader Yunus-Bek Yevkurov has commented on accusations of Musa Chiliyev, who had been blamed for financing militants. He noted that information about such provocative accusations had been available before the announcement. Yevkurov said that the Prosecutor General’s Office and the FSB were asked to investigate the source of such accusations.
Yevkurov reminded that the republic will have elections in September 2013 and militant Ibragim Torzhkhoyev’s confession about being financed by the government was published on purpose.
Ingush Vice Premier Pavel Pushchin noted that the information was very doubtful and should be checked.
MP Shamsail Saraliyev filed a request to Prosecutor General Yuri Chayka to investigate the validity of the information. According to militant Torzhkhoyev, Ingush Prime Minister Musa Chiliyev paid militants $1 million every month.
