Georgian textbooks to become free

The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Giorgi Margvelashvili, said that from the next academic year textbooks will be issued free of charge in Georgia.

Margvelashvili added that as a result of the reform the parents of Georgian pupils will be able to save from 150 - 200 laris ($90.8-$121.1), News Georgia reports.

He added that the reform would not affect the publishers, who will still be paid.
