State Duma approves Elvira Nabiulina's appointment as head of Central Bank

The State Duma today approved Elvira Nabiulina's appointment as head of the Russian Central Bank. 300 lawmakers voted in favour, 20 against, 1 member of parliament abstained from voting.

Nabiulina will enter office on June 24th, when the term of the incumbent head of the Central Bank, Sergey Ignatyev, ends.
