EBRD to finance Azerbaijani private business directly

Azerbaijani Minister for Economic Development Shakhin Mustafayev met the council of directors of the EBRD and noted that $2.1 billion had been invested in 117 projects of Azerbaijan.

He recommended the EBRD to finance private business directly and expand its activities in shares.

British director of the EBRD Jonathan Ockenden said that Azerbaijani economic achievements had always been a highlight of the bank and expressed hope for further cooperation.
