Georgian PM to support national language

Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili issued a statement devoted to Native Language Day. The prime minister noted that 35 years ago Georgian youth protested against the decision of the Soviet authorities to deprive local languages of the status of state languages.

The Georgian prime minister also said that his cabinet would encourage development of the national language and support its uniqueness.
