Iranian president to visit Niger, Benin, Ghana

Iranian President will visit Niger, Benin and Ghana on April 15-17, RBC reports.

The visit will start in Benin, the world’s fourth largest uranium supplier. Ahmadinejad will discuss energy, education and agriculture. Then he will spend two days in Niger, followed by a visit to Ghana, a country with high gold mining volumes and cacao production.

The Iranian president will sign memorandums of understanding for energy, trade, culture, tourism and healthcare.

Iranian Ambassador to Niger Mohammad Nikkhakh confirmed the visit.

Nigerian foreign minister visited Iran in February. Iran needs uranium shipments for the nuclear program that causes concerns of the EU and US.
