Istanbul hosts Russian Cinema Festival

Istanbul is hosting a Russian Cinema Festival today, starting with Vladimir Menshov’s “Moscow Does Not Believe in Tears”. The director described the creation of the film and its popularity in the USSR, RIA Novosti reports.
Serkan Uzunay, one of the viewers of the film, expressed astonishment at the film. He expressed amazement at the depth of people’s relations and the fact that little had changed in Moscow in the past 30 years.
Turkey will also watch such films as “Several Days in the Life of I.I. Oblomov”, Stanislav Govorukhin’s “We Are from Jazz” and “The Rifleman of the Voroshilov Regiment”. The films will be shown with Turkish subtitles.
