Tsarnayev brothers had Turkish citizenship

The Tsarnayev brothers, who are suspected of launching a terrorist attack on the Boston Marathon, had Turkish citizenship and came to the US from Turkey as refugees. They got US green cards in 2007.

The Turkish foreign ministry says it cannot confirm this information at the moment. "No, we have no data concerning the citizenship of the suspects," the ministry says in a statement.

Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnayev, aged 19 and 26 respectively, are being accused of conducting a terrorist attack that killed 3 people and injured 183.

Tamerlan Tsarnayev was arrested before dying. The police are now searching for Dzhokhar, who has reportedly left Boston.
