Ivanishvili promises to relieve the ECHR of complaints about Georgia

In the spring session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili met today with the President of the European Court of Human Rights, Dean Spielman, the press service of the Prime Minister says.

 

As Ivanishvili noted at the meeting, the European Court of Human Rights is the cornerstone "of European public order," based on the values of human rights.

 

According to him, the new Georgian government came to power with the slogan of human rights, they have declared a new strategy, which will relieve the Strasbourg Court of complaints about Georgia, Trend reports.
