Hydro turbine presented in Iran

A hydro turbine producing 250MW tested in Switzerland has been presented in the Khuzestan Province of Iran. The turbine produced by Iranian specialists will be installed at a power plant in Getvend.

4 hydro turbines will be operating at the first stage. They will produce a total of 1,000MW.Over $2.45 billion will be invested in construction of a dam on River Karun for the turbines.

The dam will be 182m high and 760m long. About 5 billion cubic meters of water will be held by the dam. It will be used for agriculture, industry and supply of local residential areas.
