Punishments for violations during elections to be harsher in Azerbaijan

Punishments for violation or interference in electoral campaigns of Azerbaijani candidates or electoral commissions will be punished with a fine of 200-600 manats, 400-480 hours of community service of a year in prison, Trend reports.

The parliament will discuss the amendments on April 30. Such violations are currently punished with 150-240 hours of community service.

100 manats = 4019 rubles.
