Shakhnavazov becomes Chief prosecutor of Dagestan

Russian Prosecutor General Yuri Chayka has appointed Ramazan Shakhnavazov, his third-class advisor of justice and dDeputy Chief Prosecutor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, as the Chief Prosecutor of Dagestan, Interfax cites Marina Gridneva, spokeswoman of the Prosecutor General’s Office.

Shakhnavazov was born in the Sergokalinsky District of the Dagestani ASSR in 1961. He graduated at the Legal Institute of the Sverdlovsk Order of the Labour Red Banner named after R.A. Rudenko in 1988. He started work at prosecution structures of the Kazakh SSR in 1988. He became a major-case prosecutor of Dagestan in 1994, prosecutor of Izberbash, deputy head of the Department of the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office in the South Caucasus Federal District, deputy prosecutor of Izberbash and the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
