Two new chemical plants opened in Iran

Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has taken part in the opening ceremony of two new chemical plants, "Mirvarid" and "Paradis-2", located near the South Pars oil-field, Trend reports, citing Iranian media.
After the final phase of "Paradis" is put into operation, Iran will produce 1.72 million tons of carbides and 680,000 tons of ammonia a year. The Mirvarid chemical plant's production capacity of ethylene will reach 500,000 tons a year.
