Chechen ombudsman shocked by images of 'race' brawl

The Chechen ombudsman Nurdi Nukhazhiyev was shocked by footage broadcast on Russia's Channel One of an inter-ethnic clash at a sumemr camp in the Krasnodar Territory, Gazeta.ru reports.

He said he the brawl, which according to some reports involved hundreds of people at the "Don" summer camp, was not a simple fight, but an expression of ethnic hatred. He also said Chechn children had been targeted in what he called a "pogrom."
