Iran's Minister of Intelligence Heydar Moslehi warned one of the leaders of the reformist bloc in Iran against any abrupt political maneuvering on the eve of the presidential elections. "One of the leaders of the plot, who was not put under house arrest like the other two for various reasons, should not fool himself and think that the revolutionary power has forgotten the role he played in the plot," Moslehi said in a speech in the northern city of Qom, Mehr agency reports. After the elections in 2009, Mir Hossein Mousavi and Mehdi Karroubi became the most active opposition to the current Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. They talked about numerous irregularities during the elections, and spent several months under house arrest following recent riots in Tehran. In his statement today Moslehi did not mention the reformist leaders by name, but the negative attitude of the authorities towards the ex-president Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani and Mohammad Khatami has transpired lately. The next presidential elections in Iran will be held on June 14, 2013.
