Presidents of Ingushetia to discuss territorial integrity of republic

The head of Ingushetia, Yunus-Bek Yevkurov, invited the former presidents of the republic, Ruslan Aushev and Murat Zyazikov, to celebrate the anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. After the celebrations, a number of issues, including the territorial one, will be discussed, the official website of the Head of the Republic reports.The invitation letter states: "In a few days, the multinational people of our country will mark an important event - the 68th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The people of Ingushetia took an active part in the defense of the homeland against the German invaders from the first day of the war.On May 9, 2013, along with Victory Day the Republic of Ingushetia will celebrate the 70th anniversary of the completion of the Malgobek defensive operation and the liberation of Malgobek from the Nazi invaders.I invite you to the celebrations to mark the events, and, as I suggested at the Congress of the People of Ingushetia, I consider it expedient to have a separate meeting on May 10 to discuss further cooperation for the good of our country, and the preservation of the territorial integrity and strengthening the unity of our people," the messages said.Let us specify that in this case the "preservation of the territorial integrity of Ingushetia" means the opposition to the Chechen government claims to part of the Ingush republic – the Sunzha district, a row around which recently began to flare up in the region.
