PKK militants retreat from Turkey
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaMilitants of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) has begun retreating from Turkey heading to their stronghold in northern Iraq, Hürriyet Daily News cites Agence France Prresse as saying on Wednesday.
The retreat is the first visible sign that months of fragile talks between the Turkish government and the PKK can actually succeed ending 29 years of guerrilla war.
"We know that they have started moving," Selahattin Demirtaş, the co-chairman of the Peace and Democracy Party (BDP), told Agence France Presse, Hürriyet informs.
