Iran to spend $5 billion on national defenses

Iran will spend $5 billion on national defenses, exceeding the sum of the previous year by 127%, Fars reports on Monday.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said that the national should be strong to protect its independence and national security. Three new military innovations were presented in April 2013.

Iranian Defense Minister Ahmad Wahidi said that Iran will present a new jet and cruise missile in the near future.
