Russian Foreign Ministry condemns terrorist attack in Turkey

Hopefully these tragic events will not lead to an escalation of an already difficult situation in the region," RIA Novosti quotes the Information Department of the Foreign Ministry of Russia.The Russian Foreign Ministry also stressed that Moscow strongly condemns the terrorist attack, and expresses its deep condolences "to the Government and people of the Republic of Turkey, to the families and friends of the victims of this barbaric crime."Earlier, the Interior Minister of Turkey, Muammer Guler, said that nine Turkish citizens were arrested on suspicion of involvement in terrorist acts. They have already pleaded guilty.As previously reported, two explosions occurred within 15 minutes of each other on May 11 in the city of Reyhanly, next to the city hall and in an industrial area. Two car bombs exploded. 46 people became victims of the explosion, 155 were injured. Six people are reported missing. Turkey called the explosions a terrorist attack and blamed it on Syria, but the Damascus authorities categorically denied the allegations.
