Sochi chief architect resigns

Sochi Chief Architect Constantine Matskevich has filed a resignation note. He has been heading the department for architecture, urban planning and beautification has been in office since October 2012.

Matskevich succeeded Oleg Sheveyko at the department. Two criminal cases were initiated against Sheveyko in September 2012 for excess of authority. He got 1 year and 8 months of prison in April 2013.
