Staff of Turkish Airlines on strike

Staff of the largest Turkish air company, Turkish Airlines, is one strike, demanding better work conditions, guarantees and return of their fired workmates, ITAR-TASS reports.
The Hava Is trade union started the strike on 3.00 am. The demands were sent to the company’s authorities over a year ago. They want employment contracts to be brought to a single standard and want 305 fired workmates to be employed again.
The company experienced a strike 22 years ago. It continued for 38 days. Up to 80% of staff takes part in the new strike. It will cost the company about $2 million. Many passengers were aware of the strike beforehand and got a refund for the tickets.
