Kazakh citizen hijacks plane

Russian media reports say special forces today detained a man who had taken control of an aircraft which landed in Moscow. The hijacker was a citizen of Kazakhstan. The plane was said to be coming from the Caucasus city of Mineralnye Vody. All the passengers were freed safely after special forces boarded the aircraft at Moscow's Domodedovo Airport.

The hijacker had made demands to speak with the media and law enforcement agencies.
