Ingush Interior Ministry speaks up for Ingush police officers detained in Sochi

The interior ministry of Ingushetia claims the Ingush police officers and civilians detained on July 28th in Sochi at the "Kurazh" restaurant are victims of the conflict, RIA Novosti reports.

Contrary to reports, the officers were not drunk and didn't open fire, eyewitnesses say. Meanwhile, the officers involved in the incident have not yet been charged. The investigation committee of Sochi has also denied information that participants in the conflict were detained, with officials saying they had decided not to leave the city in order to render assistance to the investigators.
