Tajik ex-minister for industry detained

The Firdavsi District Court of Tajikistan has detained Zayad Sayidov, Tajik ex-Minister for Industry and head of the initiative group forming the New Tajikistan Party, Trend cites his lawyer Iskhok Tabarov.

Judge Tuliboyev said that the ex-minister will be taken to a detention center. He was detained at the Dushanbe Airport on May 19 and accused of receiving a large bribe.
