Former deputy minister of finance and former deputy head of the Russian Central Bank Sergey Aleksashenko believes low economic growth means that the Russian economy is in a state of crisis.

Aleksashenko said so on Wednesday in an interview with Ekho Moskvy.

According to the expert, this crisis may become deep and dangerous, as businesses no longer believe in the Russian economy. Aleksashenko says government efforts to prove the safety of investing in Russia are fruitless.

This crisis will be very difficult to overcome, the expert notes.
