Tbilisi mayor does not hide from arrest

Tbilisi Mayor Gigi Ugulava arrived in Tbilisi last night and said that he was not planning to hide from arrest, Interfax reports.

He reminded about the arrest of Vano Merabishvili and said that his arrest would not change anything.

Merabishvili’s wife Tako Salakaya returned to Tbilisi on the same flight as Ugulava. She left Tbilisi in 2006, fearing arrest over murder of bank worker Sandro Girgvliani in 2006.
