NATO calls Azerbaijan key partner in region

Gabor Iklody, NATO Assistant Secretary General, said at an energy conference in Baku that Azerbaijan was the keypartner of the alliance in the region, Trend reports.

He reminded that Azerbaijan was supporting the NATO and contributing to stabilization in Afghanistan even after 2014.

Khazar Ibragim, Azerbaijani representative to the NATO, said that the successful policy of Azerbaijan will continue in security, emergency situations, mine-clearing, military reforms. Launch of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway will benefit stabilization in Afghanistan.

Ibragim added that a NATO delegation will visit Baku in the near future to discuss further cooperation.
