Armenian government compensates losses from hail

Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan visited the Armavir Region yesterday and decided to relieve farmers of 46 communities suffering from hail damage of land tax. Farmers with minor damage will only pay 50% of the tax.

The government will cover expenses for irrigation in 22 communities due to 100% of their harvest destroyed by the ail. 20 communities will have compensations for irrigation worth 50% due to minor losses.

Farmers will receive seeds, fertilizers and diesel fuel. Loans of farmers will be frozen and converted to drams with subsidies of the government.

50 anti-hail systems will be created for $844,000.
