Russia stops program for compatriots in Armenia

Terms of the So’otechestvenniki program of the Russian Migration Service in Armenia expired on April 1 and have not been extended, Radio Svoboda.

The program will continue functioning as an Internet resource.

The Intergovernmental Commission of Armenian-Russian Economic Cooperation discussed the program with Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan in October 2012. He noted that Armenia was clear about closing the program.
