Mufti of Rostov region: No need to inflate scandal because of illustration

The Mufti of the Rostov region, Jafar Bikmaev, urged not to inflate the row over the illustrations to the fairy-tale "Moidodyr," which supposedly pictures a crocodile holding a page from the Koran. According to RIA News, Bikmaev says that he's been outside the Rostov region for the last two weeks, and knows about the incident only through "word of mouth". Bikmaev noted that in such a case it is better to calm down and negotiate with each other, as the court, in his opinion, is the last resort. After returning to Rostov-on-Don, he plans to get an update, and if necessary, to engage in solving this issue.

The publishing house "Kniga" is not commenting on the situation.
