In the next 5 years Russian Nets Company will be the general sponsor of CSKA Moscow Football Club. The corresponding agreement was signed by the president of CSKA Yeugeny Giner and the chairman of the board of Russian Nets Oleg Budargin.
He reminded that on November 20th, 2012, the President of Russia decided to establish the company Russian Nets: “It is a new step in the development of electric energy. To form a new staff, to unite 220 thousand people, an idea is demanded will consolidate everybody. We decided to establish a uniting atmosphere over a sporting club, the football club of CSKA. The company’s revenues will be 760 billion rubles; our net income will be 63 billion rubles. The participation in the development of CSKA will be 3 thousand rubles per person annually. I will convince our employees and their families that it will be a very beneficial investment. It is luck CSKA is the champion today. But to hold the champion’s title is more difficult than to fight for it, I think. Our fans, our employees have a big goal to support our team.”
“We won’t fail it,” Yevgeny Giner, president of CSKA Football Club, promises. “We didn’t participate in UEFA cups this time; the guys missed out on this. And next year we will do our best to present the logo of Russian Nets with honor in the European arena. But the biggest role is played by our cooperation in this sponsorship contract. It is not simply a sponsorship contract between a large company and a serious football club. It is easier to promote a company through sport – branding, awareness, and so on. For example, it happened to Bashneft. Russian Nets is a new company. There will be interest in Europe, many questions. It leads to awareness. Awareness means a lot in the world.”
Igor Akinfeyev, CSKA’s captain, said: “The contract is great, but the main thing is development of children's football. In general, we are all happy, and I think everybody will be pleased with this nice agreement.”
