Uzbekistan may join CIS free trade area

The post-Soviet nation of Uzbekistan may soon join the free trade area of the Commonwealth of Independence States (CIS), the head of the CIS executive committee, Sergey Lebedev, said in Minsk today.

He said that the corresponding document could be signed on May 31st, at the meeting of the heads of cabinet of the CIS member-states.
