Canada imposes embargo on Iran

Canada has imposed a trade embargo on Iran due to the unfruitful talks with the IAEA and six mediators of the Iranian nuclear program (five permanent members of the UNSC and Germany), ITAR-TASS cites Canadian Foreign Minister John Baird.

Canada blacklisted 112 more people and companies whose assets were frozen. Humanitarian goods are still allowed to be shipped to Iran.

Canada broke diplomatic relations with Iran on September 7, closing its embassy in the country.
